Upgrades for the 2022 Hyundai Sonata
There are very few changes in the 2022 sonata lineup, and the only difference is the addition of a night Edition offered in the sporty N Line model.
The most pocket-friendly way to get the upgraded 180 horsepower turbo-four engine is the SEL Plus model, the only Sonata that gets 19-inch rims and upgraded all-season tires. Additionally, the sedan features a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster, back-seat air vents and USB port, wireless charging, and leatherette and microsuede upholstery. Hyundai has added the tech package, too, such as a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker Bose stereo, a semi-autonomous drive mode, and a panoramic sunroof.
2022 Hyundai Sonata Engine
The 2022 Hyundai Sonata SE and SEL get a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 191 horsepower with eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. A turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine in the SEL Plus and Limited models produces 180 horsepower and 195lb.-ft. of torque.
